Public Service Announcement regarding Wetland Permit Application
If you live near or have wetlands on your property you may need to get a permit to do any work in that area. If you live in a lake community, you still need to get a permit from the Inland-Wetlands Commission. If you are not sure if you are in need of a permit, feel free to come to an Inland-Wetlands Commission meeting. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Inland-Wetlands Commission meetings are conducted on the first and third Wednesday of each month, with no meetings being held in the month of August.
If you do need a permit the information is on the Town Website at www.plymouthct.us
Information on the Town Website can be found by clicking on DEPARTMENTS, Select LAND USE, and under the links shown select “INLAND-WETLANDS AND WATERSHED REGULATIONS; then go to Sections 6 and 7, which are for regulated activities and application requirements.
It is recommended that applications be submitted by close of business on the Monday prior to the meeting date to be processed and put on the agenda for the following Wednesday.
