ADA Coordinator & Building

The Building Official is responsible for the following: 

• Inspecting buildings to determine compliance with municipal and other codes and/or ordinances

• Examining buildings for type of construction, condition of roof, and fireproofing

• Determining the risk represented by adjoining buildings, by nature of business, and building contents, and administering the State of Connecticut building codes and Public Act #443

• May serve as the enforcement officer or the deputy enforcement officer for the planning and zoning commission

• Assisting the Sanitarian
